We’re excited to share that over 80%, a super-majority, of WCM postdocs have now signed union authorization cards.
We spoke to hundreds of our colleagues about how we can work collectively to improve both living and working conditions for postdocs here at WCM. We are excited to have reached this major milestone in our campaign.
We are continuing to reach out to coworkers to make sure as many of us as possible have a chance to participate.
As a next step, we intend to file a petition with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and initiate the process of formal recognition for our union so that we can begin to bargain collectively for a fair first contract with administration at Weill Cornell Medicine.
