RSVP to canvass for Claire Valdez for Congress this Sunday in Bushwick!
This Sunday, April 19 from 12-3PM in Bushwick, UAW members from across NYC will be canvassing with Claire Valdez for Congress!
Claire is a former UAW Local 2110 Unit Chair, a current State Assemblymember, and has been endorsed by UAW, Mayor Zohran Mamdani, and Bernie Sanders.
Having joined the UAW as an employee of Columbia University, Claire understands our experience as higher ed workers. As a State Assemblymember, she is supporting our efforts to expand science funding at the state level in New York – and as the Trump administration continues to try to cut federal research funding, having a strong ally on this issue in Congress is more important than ever. Let’s elect one of our UAW siblings to Congress!
Join the UAW 4100 Citizenship & Legislative (CAP) Committee
The Citizenship and Legislative Committee, also known as Community Action Program (CAP), is a committee in our union that discusses promoting pro-labor political candidates like Claire, bills that support the working class, and advocacy for science funding and protections beyond our collective bargaining agreements.
