The UAW Constitutional Convention, held every four years, is the highest decision-making body of our union. At the convention, elected delegates from local unions across the country meet to set the union’s position on key workplace and societal issues and to consider amendments to the UAW Constitution.
The 39th UAW Constitutional Convention will take place in Detroit from June 15–18, 2026. Members of our local will elect delegates to represent us at the convention. The number of delegates each local sends is determined by membership size.

To help members learn more, we will be holding an information session on Monday, March 23 at 4 pm on Zoom. During the session we will review how the convention works and discuss the role and responsibilities of delegates. Please register here.
We will hold a special membership meeting on Tuesday, March 31st, to open nominations for convention delegates. RSVP to attend the special membership meeting here.
