2026 Higher Education Council Meeting – May 8th – May 9th, 2026
Last year, over 300 UAW members in the Higher Ed sector gathered in Pico Rivera, California, for the first meeting of the National Higher Education Council. This year, the UAW Higher Education Council meeting will be held virtually on Friday, May 8th and Saturday May 9th and is open to all members! The meeting will be a great opportunity for leaders across the Local to participate in organizing trainings, hear updates on other units in the sector, exchange resources to support non-citizen workers, and discuss how to fight for things like research funding and higher education under the Trump Administration.
